  • Brenda Sherwood

    OWNER & LEAD CPA

    Over 40 years ago, Brenda and Rob Sherwood first started Sherwood & Co, PS. out of their tiny home office in Centralia, WA. Brenda has always had a way with creating a personalized, warm and welcoming environment as well as a highly professional experience for her clients. Now with a staff of 8 and a large, welcoming office in the heart of west Olympia, Brenda continues to be the lead CPA, offering high quality tax prep and accounting services to over 400 local and nationwide clients.

    For complex accounting, financial, or tax preparation questions, you’ll either talk directly to Brenda Sherwood or Kelly Sherwood who have a combined sixty years worth of complex tax preparation and accounting experience.

  • Kyrsten Sherwood

    OPERATIONS MANAGER

    Kyrsten has assisted her mother-in-law, Brenda with streamlining and modernizing Sherwood & Co, PS., helping us to create an online presence, online client portal with user-friendly forms and document management, a more efficient tax prep workflow process and a higher-touch client experience. Her enthusiasm for streamlining systems and user experience is helping to make Sherwood & Co, PS.’s personalized tax services more accessible to clients state- and nationwide.

    For new clients, billing, and project management questions, you’ll talk directly to Kyrsten Sherwood, who will assist you with keeping you up-to-date on your tax return progress, as well as offer you any general help you may need throughout the year.

  • Kelly Sherwood

    LEAD ACCOUNTANT - FINANCIALS & BUSINESS RETURNS

    Since the early 2000s, Kelly has worked as everything from a teenage mail runner to a financial consultant for million dollar businesses at Sherwood & Co, PS. Kelly’s lifelong experience and deeply rooted understanding of tax preparation and how an accounting firm is managed has assisted him in intimately understanding how businesses of all sizes can best benefit from quality tax planning and detail-oriented accounting services.

    For complex accounting, financial, or tax prep questions, you’ll either talk directly to Brenda Sherwood or Kelly Sherwood who have a combined half century of complex tax prep and accounting experience.

  • Madelaine Giron

    ACCOUNTANT - PAYROLL SERVICES

    Maddy has been with Sherwood & Co, PS since November of 2022, and she assists our ongoing payroll and bookkeeping clients with their monthly and quarterly department of revenue reports, tax deposits and filings and payroll services. She’s a quick learner, highly detail oriented, organized and ambitious as well as a lovely, funny and friendly person to be around!

    If you utilize our payroll, bookkeeping, or DOR services, you’ll either talk directly to Madelaine Giron or Benjamin Pearson.

  • Stathis Angelatos

    ACCOUNTANT - BUSINESS RETURNS

    Stathis has been with Sherwood & Co, PS since January of 2023, originally hired as our part-time technical support specialist. After only a month or two, his position shifted to tax prep assistance, and quickly thereafter became our dedicated business tax accountant. His quick wit, dry humor, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and dedication has made him an incredible asset to the team for the last few years.

    Typically more active behind the scenes, if you happen to find yourself chatting with Stathis Angelatos, it’s likely because he’s requesting your business’ elusive loan documents.

  • Ada H.

    ACCOUNTANT - INDIVIDUAL RETURNS

    Ada joined the Sherwood & Co, PS team at the end of December 2024. Ada is an incredibly intelligent, quick-witted, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and ambitious person, and has been a delightful addition to the team. She’s our resident individual tax return accountant, and her natural curiosity and interest in solving complex puzzles makes her a wonderful fit for the position.

    Typically more active behind the scenes, you may find yourself occasionally chatting with Ada Stiles if she’s requesting your mysterious Premium Tax Credits documentation or IP PIN.

  • Benjamin Pearson

    ACCOUNTANT - BOOKKEEPING SERVICES

    Benjamin joined the Sherwood & Co, PS team at the end of December 2024. Benjamin’s years of experience in customer service, creative thinking, dedication, attention to detail, curiosity, and enthusiasm has made him a wonderful addition to the team! Ben assists Maddy with our business clients’ payroll and bookkeeping needs. Ben also assists Stathis and Kelly with business tax returns as needed.

  • Tia N.

    RECORDS SPECIALIST

    Tia joined the Sherwood & Co, PS team at the end of December 2024. She aced our technical test and was an obvious shoe-in for the Records Specialist position, which necessitates someone with exceptional attention to detail skills and consistency. She’s a wonderfully proactive, dedicated, precise, and diligent individual and her witty sense of humor and personality have made her a wonderful addition to the team!

    If you have questions about your tax documents or need copies of your past years’ tax returns, you’ll get to know Alyson Manzano and Tia Notti who will assist you with any of your administrative and document prep needs.

  • Alyson Manzano

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Alyson joined the Sherwood & Co, PS team at the end of December 2024. She is often the first person you see when walking into the office and will often be one of your main points of contact. Her welcoming presence, bubbly personality and eagerness to assist, has helped to create the personable and inviting client experience for our tax and accounting clients.

    If you have questions about your tax documents or need copies of your past years’ tax returns, you’ll get to know Alyson Manzano and Tia Notti who will assist you with any of your administrative and document prep needs.
