As a small firm, you’ll likely get to know all of the faces behind Sherwood & Co, PS. just as intimately as we’ll get to know you and/or your business! Whether you’ve been talking to one of our team members for years or are meeting them for the first time, our goal is to ensure that you experience a warm, positive and engaging interaction with us.

Brenda Sherwood

Over 40 years ago, Brenda and Rob Sherwood first started Sherwood & Co, PS. out of their tiny home office in Centralia, WA. Brenda has always had a way with creating a personalized, warm and welcoming environment as well as a highly professional experience for her clients. Now with a staff of 6 and a large, welcoming office in the heart of west Olympia, Brenda continues to be the lead CPA, offering high quality tax prep and accounting services to over 400 local and nationwide clients.

Rob passed away in 2019 to pancreatic cancer and we and our clients miss his warm smile and passionate conversations all the time.

For complex accounting, financial, or tax prep questions, you’ll either talk directly to Brenda Sherwood or Kelly Sherwood who have a combined sixty years worth of complex tax prep and accounting experience.

OWNER & LEAD CPA

Kelly Sherwood

Since the early 2000s, Kelly has worked as everything from a teenage mail runner to a financial consultant for million dollar businesses at Sherwood & Co, PS. Kelly’s lifelong experience and deeply rooted understanding of how an accounting firm is managed has assisted him in intimately understanding how businesses can best benefit from tax prep and well managed accounting services.

For complex accounting, financial, or tax prep questions, you’ll either talk directly to Brenda Sherwood or Kelly Sherwood who have a combined half century of complex tax prep and accounting experience.

LEAD ACCOUNTANT - FINANCIALS & BUSINESS RETURNS

Madelaine Giron

We are so happy to welcome one of our newest team members, Madelaine! Madelaine assists our ongoing accounting and bookkeeping clients with their monthly and quarterly tax and payroll services. She is a quick learner, highly detail oriented, organized and ambitious as well as a lovely, funny and friendly person to be around!

If you have payroll, bookkeeping or other ongoing needs throughout the year, you will have a dedicated team member - either Madelaine Giron or Darlene Hetzer - to assist you with any questions or upkeep you may need.

Sam Burleigh

Sam has been with Sherwood & Co, PS. since 2019 and has recently moved up from an administrative assistant role to being our staff tax accountant, with a focus on personal returns. She is an ambitious, loyal and lovely team member who is always eager to learn, help and support the Sherwood & Co, PS. team and clients. We are excited to have her moving up in the company and are inspired by and grateful for her dedication and eagerness to grow with us!

As you begin to gather your documentation for tax season, you’ll get to know Sam Burleigh who will assist you with any of your administrative and document prep needs.

Kyrsten Sherwood

Kyrsten has helped her husband, Kelly and mother-in-law, Brenda to streamline and modernize Sherwood & Co, PS., helping us to create an online presence, online client portal with user-friendly forms and document management, a more efficient tax prep workflow process and a higher-touch client experience. Her enthusiasm for streamlining systems and user experience is helping to make Sherwood & Co, PS.’s personalized tax services more accessible to clients state- and nationwide.

Kyrsten Sherwood will be your main point of contact who will assist you with creating your personalized plan, keeping you up-to-date on your service progress and offering any general help you may need throughout the year.

OPERATIONS MANAGER & CLIENT COMMUNICATIONS

Shellah Inman

Another of our newest members, we are so excited to welcome Shellah to the Sherwood & Co, PS. team! Shellah is our part time administrator and client records navigator. She is often the first person you see when walking into the office and will often be one of your main points of contact. Her welcoming presence, and nurturing personality and attention to detail help to create a warm, inviting and highly efficient client experience for our tax and accounting clients.

As you begin to gather your documentation for tax season, you’ll get to know Shellah Inman who will assist you with any of your administrative and document prep needs.
